Believe it or not, there are many hot drinks which can be a perfect substitute for coffee. At least for a day, you can skip your morning coffee ritual and try one of these tasty alternatives.

1. Green tea

One cup of green tea contains almost the same amount of caffeine as coffee. This is a great coffee substitute, because green tea is rich in antioxidants and has many other health benefits. For better taste, drink your green tea with honey and lemon.

2. Prune juice

Although this sounds strange, you will be surprised by how much energy you will get from prune juice. This thick drink helps regulate the electrolyte balance in your body, which increases your stamina and will keep you alert and energetic throughout the day. If the prune juice tastes too strong you can mix it with some apple juice.
